In modern industrial manufacturing, a specialized foundry plays an absolutely key role in shaping and producing a variety of metal components used in a wide range of applications. These facilities use advanced metallurgical processes and modern technical equipment to produce castings precisely and efficiently. In this respect, GIFF a.s. is an independent production unit that has been achieving excellent results for many years.
The GIFF a.s. foundry boasts above all an impressive production capacity, manufacturing approximately 5,500 tonnes of castings per year. We supply these castings as standard in various weight categories from 2 to 100 kg and in dimensions of up to 700 mm. The foundry also prides itself on its ability to reliably process various materials, including gray cast iron in grades ČSN EN GJL 150, ČSN EN GJL 200 and ČSN EN GJL 250 (GG 15 to GG 25), as well as ductile iron ČSN EN GJS 500-7 (GGG 50).
One of the main pillars of GIFF a.s.’s success is its modern and highly efficient mold-making process. For this purpose, the foundry uses the state-of-the-art HSP-3D molding line with flasks measuring 850 × 850 × 200 mm, which works on the principle of compressed-air impulse using SEIATSU valves, followed by squeeze pressing. To further expand capacity, we have also introduced the upgraded HSP-3D2 line with an output of 60 complete molds per hour and improved capture of fugitive emissions. The molding process itself takes place consistently in synthetic bentonite-bonded sand.
To reliably cover the entire production cycle, GIFF a.s. has extensive technological facilities at its disposal. These include, above all, its own modern sand plant, which provides a stable supply of first-class molding sand. In addition, the foundry relies on a fully equipped core shop and a set of melting units comprising two INDUCTOTHERM ELPHIAC electric induction furnaces with a capacity of 5 tonnes and two high-performance EGES furnaces with a capacity of 6 tonnes.

The fundamental commitment of our foundry is to always respond flexibly to individual customer requirements and deliver castings of the required quality. GIFF a.s. therefore also provides comprehensive finishing operations, including shot blasting, grinding, priming and packaging. The entire plant also has a modern center for final quality inspection and precision measurement. Furthermore, we have our own pattern shop for producing pattern equipment from wood, metal and resin, and today all castings and patterns are precisely machined on CNC machines.
What sets GIFF a.s. apart from the competition is its ability to seamlessly integrate technological preparation directly into live production. The foundry can comprehensively cover the entire process, based either on supplied technical drawings or sample castings. This approach guarantees a flawless and fast production ramp-up with an emphasis on strict compliance with all customer specifications.
